Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

What is keeping GB around at bp? Is he that good? Or no one wants another BP lady boss?

What’s keeping GB gainfully employed? Is he special or actually a great leader?

GB is tasked with simplifying the bp process monster. The same process monster he has used to his benefit and to others detriment. What product will GB deliver to MO? Will MO reject and dispatch or accept a Bernardo Looney protégée? GB is playing the clock 🕰️ …in hopes of continued operational success for another quarter…don’t rock 🪨 the boat 🛶…highly probable that GB leaves BP for a smaller company as a CEO…

AD needs 9-12 months as CoS before she is seen as ready to take GB's seat, until then there is noone to fill the role

He is the Bernadette master and he insures they…the ones that remain are well taken care of and protected. Take LJP as a recent example…every step and position is for her benefit and tribute not the companies short and longterm success.
There could have been 600 better purchasing SVP…but they rotate the chosen ones…
But, now we have 20k psi

He is still secretly working with BL and at any opportunity they still party. Recently he convinced BP to invest in a BL venture. The working group was done before MO arrival
