Change the reitrement and offer full earlier retirement. That will lower wfh employees, reduce salary expenses, and get the older employees just hanging around till 62 on out. Paying the half or less of their salaries for a couple of years is way cheaper than them hanging around till 62. An exit package won't even be necessary.

@vg BS. If they could retire they would. They didn't prepare.
The reason tenured people are still working is because young people lack of work ethic makes advancement even easier. Better just sit back and hope your parents leave you an inheritance. Being a job jumper doesn't typically pan out in the long run.
State Farm needs a whistleblower.
I think we will see this in the Fall. Makes too much sense to not offer easy way out and not have to pay to exit

I've been here 27 years and have to help most of my young peers complete correct sentences and write denials letter. They never learn, they can't not figure anything out for themselves, can't read the policy, don't understand the SCPs. Most are in some type of therapy, heavily medicated, on memos for missing too much work and half the time look stoned. Not saying my generous is without flaws but the OG is the only thing keeping this place in business. Most of the new hires are just one step above and sometimes below the quality of a McDonalds worker!

@cw very true! The younger generation is a sad bunch. All about me types!
Believe me when I say those older employees run circles around the newbies. All day every day.
@c0. Yeah, right. SF will save alllll this money but the insureds will never see a reduction in their premiums. People won't like trying to understand broken English when they call about their claim.

Make it 35 years of service equals full retirement pension.
