Death by a thousand cuts, it will never be safe there. If you work at Verizon, there is zero job security. These clowns took a good company and ran it in the ground with their egos and greed.
For the day of layoffs, yes, it is one day. All clear calls go out usually about 10am.
It won’t be the last of the layoffs unfortunately but they like to get it over and done with quickly in the morning.

@aa layoffs aren’t what drives the stock price, generating revenue does. While layoffs impact the bottom line short term, what is Dan’s long term plan to increase revenue? That’s what I thought…crickets. He doesn’t have one. There is no growth in a saturated wireless market.

@OP no, there are many teams across the Co that are not being impacted today. The "restructuring" is step by step, org by org, some groups are still working under same status quo than last year. Every piece of the Co will be scrutinized, "sanitized' And made into leaner and more efficient. Sadly for all of this to happen there is the human factor but like in any other biz. There is no other way around if the Co. Needs to stay afloat. Mark this words....Sept...then year end
