Meeting were held with the general manager, members and union to discuss the closing of call centers in Tustin CA and Cerritos CA. Management said they will consolidate both offices into a new office space. They are pushing propellor out of the business. The union hasn’t sent out a single message to its dues payers. We really don’t know what the union does here except sit in meetings and say nothing.

Ya weren’t offered an NTEC job?
Asking for a friend.
I worked in Cerritos for 8 years back in the LA Cellular AT&T Wireless Cingular and now AT&T days. Nothing beats Galaxy burgers.
@a1 Why do you think it is all about techs and not call center people? The union isn't all powerful, sometimes they just have to accept what is being done.
I worked in Cerritos back in the mid 90’s when it was LA Cellular. Beautiful building so I’m not surprised they would close it. Stank ruins everything.
CWA is the best run organization within T. Now what the fu--s wrong with that picture?
It is hard to believe we have any call centers left at all. Have you ever tired to get a human on the phone in customer service?
Having employees in California is a mistake for any company that can put those employees in other states.
Yep. Formal call center employee from another district here. Paid dues for 15 years and they didn’t even come to the meeting where they were sending our work away. It’s all about techs. The only benefit is the extended severance pay. They are supposed to be working to retrain the employees for new work.
