September Layoff - Your 6m+ time is over. Do you wish rejoin Oracle ?

Don't you realize that Lucy will only pull the ball away AGAIN!
Yes, I would definitely consider joining, provided the following conditions are met:
- The compensation is at market level and competitive with Amazon.
- My direct manager is at least an M6. In my experience, managers below that level often have limited organizational influence and decision-making authority.
- My manager is technically strong, genuinely interested in building great products, and focused on fostering technical growth while working on challenging, impactful problems.
- The product that I work is being tracked by a Sr VP and EVP and its part of the stories we see on news.
If these conditions are met, I'd be happy to have a serious conversation. Else I wouldnt waste much time
I totally understand going back to Oracle if your not working for financial reasons. But personally I would not target working for Oracle at all; Oracle headcount is likely to continue going down resulting in more work for the same pay for the foreseeable future.
I was RIF'd via e-mail on March 31st, after 25+ years of dedicated hard labor.
Rejoin Oracle? No way in he-l.
Mid-management support was grossly negative.
Didn't answer e-mails (even when marked urgent) and ignored
Slack messages. I had absorbed 7 other persons job responsibilities since 2019.
Why would I rejoin Oracle only to be treated like cr-p?
Do you wish rejoin Oracle ?
Uhh, no?
If you are still unemployed than a job is a job take it. You have probably burned through a lot of savings by now. If you found another job and are considering trying to go back to Oracle... use your health insurance and get your head examined.
@av I don't mind saying I'd go back in a heartbeat. I was happy and I loved what I was doing (and my management was great).
What do people know about the "minimum wait period before being eligible to join Oracle again"? Is there such a thing, in fact? Also, September 2025 and now are separated by 10 (3+7) months.
@aw not gonna happen. Already heard some colleagues rehired shortly after the mass layoff... they got their old salaries back as if nothing happened.
yes, but with higher pay.
I love Oracle
I think the energy and time better spent at countless other companies. Oracle will likely consider you again for layoff during the next layoff season. Not worth it IMO.
@a5 OP is saying he/she was laid off in Sep 2025 and his/her minimum wait period before being eligible to join Oracle again is complete. Should they rejoin.
English hard much?
