How long does employee discount on phone last after getting laid off?

They changed the rules. Its now just a month lol. Theyre going to keep cutting benefits.
It was until the end of 2026 if laid off in 2025, at least for band 6. Not sure why a couple of others here say it was only for a month or two. Maybe it wasn't the same across the board?
Not worth it anyway. Get a visible line without employee discount and still cheaper and more features.
Thanks everyone much appreciated for the responses :)
For those RIF'd in November 2025, off payroll December 2025, you were able to keep your employee discount for 12 months.
I no longer wanted to give Verizon my money, so switched two lines to Mint Mobile for $412.32 per year for unlimited talk, text and data versus $1,115 per year at Verizon. No change in service, it was a seamless switch with my existing phones.
Long enough for you to port your numbers to T-Mobile.
Nov/Dec layoffs were for 1 year after
ported out to a prepaid mvno. so cheap and BETTER service (uses ATT network).
It was 1 or 2 months tops after last day. Fios dicount lasted 1 yr after last day
@OP I can’t remember exactly but not long at all. I suggest you port your numbers to a cheap plan ASAP. I was shocked when my bill doubled soon after being laid off so I ported to Xfinity. There are lots of MVNOs offering good deals.
