seems like they are firing mainly developers due to cost reductions / the on going climate and moving developers to India. everyone's benefits were terminated and at midnight and were given the a standard bare bones severance.

Yes, you’re right. I worked as an engineer at LKQ Corporation for nearly five years. I was terminated on Monday, July 20, during a two-minute Microsoft Teams call and was offered a severance package of $10,000.
@OP they fired a couple of people from MDM and ICS, honestly it was just very mismanaged and unless they removed the decision makers that put MDM in the situation it’s in now with poorly constructed contract work, then nothing is going to change.
It’s looks like we just burned developers who had no control of the situation and are now pretending it did not happen.
Whats even more strange is that people from ICS were hit too, which ships the most code.
