Working for optum is so boring and mundane even being in a role that's supposed to require compentecy HA. Can someone from HR locate me via vpn and put me off the next layoff pleaseeeeeeeeee. I hate my life here ! There's a ton of people stressed about layoffs that NEED their jobs. Lay me offffff you tards

@pm imagine saying “you could have it worse” to literally anyone. A cancer patient could “have it worse”. It’s a meaningless saying that just brushed off anyone’s lived experiences or feelings. I hope to god you are not a parent or an aunt or uncle. You are dismissive and invalidating. I bet you are miserable too.
It could be worse. You could have been born during the hunting and gathering era. 🤷♀️ or even worse, the caveman era, figuring out how to use rocks as tools.

There is nothing innovative at Optum. The company acquires capabilities, strangles them to death, then moves on to the next source of revenue. Most of Optum's capabilities exist to bury profits for UnitedHealthcare. Others are mere rent seeking, manipulating regulatory schemes. The place is a joke.

@ct For a moment in time it was. There was a lot of promising work happening prior to the last few years. But you're right that new innovative ideas don't live for too long. Too many people in control that need their name on things who will work against you every step of the way even if their own initiatives su-k.

Optum isn't innovative sadly. They try to angle themselves that way though. Any new idea gets shut down for archaic ones.
