Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

Yearly bonus

Will the yearly bonus be better than last year or higher ?
Considering competitors are giving six figures bonus, it's time Seagate management and C suite steps up and gives a fair share to employees

Don't be greedy ba----ds like ASML who are offering 20k bonus vested over 4 years

Seagate management for years has not taken care of employees so this is your one time to show that you really care and actual "HEALING" can begin.

Bookmark this prediction. Seagate will not be extra generous to employees. They will pay the maximum 20% or so bonus because it's required by the metrics. Remember, 35% will be taken for taxes. So if you make 100k, you will actually get to keep a whole 13k to pay your car insurance for the priviledge of driving to work on site 5 days a week. If you luckily get the extra contributor bonus this year you can probably expect 30% and perhaps if you are high enough level, about 5-10 shares of RSU that will vest over 2 years if you don't get layed off. Seagate will do it's best to gaslight you into thinking this is overly generous while your engineer friends at other companies in the semi/tech space are paid 100% of salary bonuses. Yep! I'd expect a 2.5 % base raise with that. Now maybe I'm wrong and for the first time in company history, Seagate will surprise everyone with 100% payouts because they actually want to reward people properly as deserved instead of just the shareholders. Don't bet on it. Despite creating all the success and wealth this year they think you should just be grateful to have your job and be paid slightely below average for the industry every year. And hey, you were supposed to use all that extra money you have left after trying to pay for inflation to buy company stock to get rewarded is the standard company position. Welp. There you go and thanks for all the hard work.
