I thought their reputation preceded them. I thought they cared. I thought they’d respect me and the quality of work I do day in day out with much overtime. I thought they offered respect
So far I’m finding I was duped by this persons.
I feel like they don't give a rats behind about me, my qualifications, my skills I’m just a number.
Something shifted maybe HR co-opted Abby with their lies and divisive mentality of the dei legion. But they aren’t looking to promote or help or encourage solid employees. Very disappointed.

@ec and once your new ideas get show down by senior management enough or worse they say it makes you a low performer you stop sharing those ideas.
Before we took the VBO many associates in Mainframe and other BU’s we worked with brought forth ideas to try to modernize systems where they could. Many ideas were shot down by senior management. Not enough budget or no that is too expensive were often the reply or that technology is not approved for use yet. Blame senior/executive management. Blaming many of the associates who supported it is severely short sighted. Bet we could ask those who have been there 5 years or less why have they not moved off mainframe yet with a hot new technology? My guess is the answer is the same as it has always been. But if you feel better blaming other associates with a lower badge number carry on.

I was ghosted by coworkers totally ignored. My how Fidelity has fallen .
Many of the people proudly announcing that they have been at Fidelity for 20 or 25 years did not survive because they modernized the firm, challenged stale thinking, or produced anything original. That is what an insular system produces: senior managers whose greatest accomplishment is surviving inside the system. The technology remains antiquated, new ideas are treated as organizational threats, and genuinely capable employees learn that performance matters less than political fluency. Mediocrity becomes institutional knowledge.
Fidelity still trades on a reputation built during an earlier era. Employees enter expecting respect, development, and opportunity, only to discover that the brand’s concern for the individual often ends precisely where the individual becomes inconvenient.
Executives and tenured employees are the bane of this place, anyone who introduces says have been here for 20 years here and systems are still in mainframe and being modernized, this place is a joke and a nightmare for new employees less than 5 years
They're still hiring people in my bu in droves, while at the same time systematically cutting our bonuses and benefits that were promised... smh. Abby's score is dropping fast on glassdoor.
You should not feel disrespected. You should be grateful and eager to work hard with a song in your heart!

Welcome to the working world. It's all about lining the pockets of the executive management team. You will be replaced by some other individual that will be disillusioned into thinking the company gives 2 cents about them until they wake up as you have. Fidelity's culture has significantly declined will continue to erode.
If hard work to be rewarded, appreciated then a donkey would have been the most respected animal in the world.
Managers notice who does what and if you're slogging day in / day out, your reward at the end of the day will be, more work while a mediocre pencil pusher gets promoted.
