I have read on reddit somebody mentioned that at his org will be added face recognition for employees for authorization SSO. It sounds weird…. Anybody confirm is this true?

We've been shown that high quality masks exist IRL, so this is not for security.

I’m giving you a “needs improvement” on your performance evaluation because you were not at your desk, in front of the camera, a number of times. If you need to leave your desk, you have a 15 minute window. That should be sufficient for any task or bodily function you need to accomplish away from your chair.
Linux as your desktop will be going away.
@b7 my laptop sits on the side and i work using a bigger monitor. Not a good position for biometrics. But if it comes to oracle dictating me where my laptop has to be positioned so they could spy in me then i’ll advise them to fo------e themselves with an iron stick and will just wait to be rif’ed.
@b2 this is the beginning. They are going to make you only use Oracle issued laptops and do biometrics. Next they will require your camera be open because biometrics Face ID will trigger every 15 minutes etc

They want to give our biometric identity to Israel
It’s not exactly face recognition. It’s that plus you have to touch a green dot in the camera video with your nose (in the video, not physically). That tells me they are trying to make sure it’s a real person in front of the screen and not some still picture.
Also, my camera is covered all the time. I only open it when I have 1:1 with my manager. How are they going to monitor anything with that?

Since this is a solution without a problem, I suspect that we are opting into regular remote monitoring.
As a lark, I actually registered my initial image by mooning the webcam. That was a mistake because now I have to drop trow every time I log on.
@OP I saw that too. I thought "what, fingerprints aren't good enough?"
But do PCs have fingerprint readers on them like Macs do? If not, then facial recognition WOULD be needed if they're going to use biometrics.
Not wired, most phones and electronics devices now use face recognition. So why not.
