There were so, so, so many better ways do do this. Ways that wouldn't have half of us on Xanax just to get through this with our mental health intact. Who decided to do it this way should be fired immediately.

@a5 I didn't apply for the VSP and wasn’t promised anything. I m waiting to find out my status will end up to be, just like everyone else who didnt apply
If someone high up doesn’t lose their job from the way this has been handled then it just shows we’re not serious about getting better as a company.
And I’m someone who absolutely loves my job here. I’m really sorry to those who don’t have the same experience.
@ab Yes. There are delusional or people who feel they have inside information that if they wait this out, they’ll receive their bonus and a promotion. I laughed too, it was said during a staff meeting. I don’t qualify for bonus. So these rumors are getting out of control.
If it is true promotion for those staying, I can only Imagine they deserve and would have earned every bit of it and probably deserve more.

I was wondering if the rumors were true that the people who didn’t sign up for VSP or had no intentions on leaving would be receiving promotions for staying as retention? So there are no involuntary layoffs in August? The rumors and information hoarding is ridiculous.
Unfortunately, those folks will receive enhanced compensation due to the voluntary attrition caused by these practices.
