I’m staying because I’m kept too busy between VZ, commuting, and personal life to actually sit down and up-skill enough to get into a company on a better trajectory. VZ pays just enough that this balance is worth continuing but not enough for me to pile up so much liquid outside of retirement accounts to cold turkey quit VZ and strike out on my own and or skill up to par for a better company elsewhere. In other words I’m trapped. Certainly not with golden handcuff but a nice bronze.
I don’t think FAANG is knocking on anyone’s door here.
I'm staying until the end of the contract and cashing out. Will have my 30 and be 53
