If this is true, and with dead weight in management just getting heavier, we'll be in major trouble very soon. When you lose most of the people who know what they're doing and you add useless managers instead of trying to replace them, things are bound to start breaking sooner rather than later.

Yep. Everyone is unhappy and trying to leave. It is all people talk about. Morale is terrible. People hate the company and management and openly talk about it.
Assets and people will be asset managed. So assets will be sold and some talent will get divested. It has happened for generations within Exxon, Mobil, Pioneer, XTO, Humble, Imperial and all the other heritage assets making up the Exxon Mobil Holding Company.
The name change should tell you...EM is a Holding company holding various E&P, Downstream, Petrochem and LCS assets (plus financial assets). EM is not a producer and not a refiner...It is an INVESTMENT BANK with assets in E&P, Downstream, Petrochem and LCS. SO how does an investment bank or private equity firm view talent. Hint: you are a cost that must generate return...
Senior leaders with a conscious are leaving because they cannot drink any more koolaid.
They know that labeling good workers NSI so they can hire less competent id--ts at 1/10 the salary is just wrong.
@ad Only cronies thrive here. Competence is not worth anything. Talent is not worth anything. Performance and delivery is not worth anything. The sad thing is that they also know it and still dont care because thats the only way they can win themselves.
Not just senior, any newly joined that is remotely decent are looking for an exit.

Or everyone can stop catastrophizing and rise up to the excellence that brought them to a Corp that has always had shareholder interests priority one. Every one of us can get employment anywhere - the complaining and blame game on India and KL staff is nothing more than a signal of bigotry. Most in this world have little choice - we have complete agency and free will. I hope most posting complains and negativity ended up somewhere else.
