Funny to see Imperial posting about supporting the Stampede while pulling so many jobs out of Calgary. Yeah, way to support the community. Not.

@cc I've refused to do any volunteer or donation stuff under the XOM banner for the past several years. (I do community service & donations on my own). I'm not helping the company airbrush their image, knowing how poorly they treat their own people.
@cc maybe they should donate some of the money to giving employees raises this year or not firing them and offshoring their jobs.
@OP You should hear what they’re trying to pull for the upcoming United Way campaign. They claim they want to ‘focus on the people, not the company,’ but that’s a laughable crock. Every event they hold is drenched in Imperial branding and engineered purely for photo‑ops. Nothing about it is genuine — it’s just another staged performance to prop up their narrative.
