Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Separation date 2027, November

Got my separation date - Nov 12 2027. This is ridiculous. I'm in UM concurrent review, and I'm so sick of this company constantly devaluing our work. We're expected to do 2.16 cases per hour, but somehow we're also supposed to attend meetings, trainings, and everything else without the metric changing.

How is that reasonable? I can't sit through a one-hour meeting and still complete 2.16 cases per hour. I'm one person. Leadership created impossible expectations and punish us for not meeting them.

CM metrics are unrealistic as well. Have to make 351 calls monthly. No matter what. NO work/life balance anymore. And a horrible, micro-managing PL on top of it all. This company is toxic & I hope Karma bites them in the a** for how horribly they treat their employees.

I got the same date! You gotta be kidding… It’s gonna be a sh-t show with all the layoffs and the changes in policy blah blah blah. I cannot work at that place for another 16 months. I do think they’re hoping people will quit so they don’t have to pay out the severance

Yes! Also in UM and my separation date is in November. productivity has been ridiculous for a while now and PEGA is the devil! My concern is that they’re going to make receiving your severance package contingent on perfect numbers etc. Ugh! The stress is crazy…

Wow, and I was miffed that my date is December 2026. Guess I’m lucky that it’s in 2026. I couldn’t imagine being forced to stay at this wretched company for another year and a half. Ugh!

@OP I agree with you 100% I'm also in UM doing concurrent review and like you, our metrics are 2.1 reviews per hour which is impossible to meet! About half of our team isn't meeting. My separation date is also Nov 12, 2027. I plan to resign possibly as early as September 2026. I can't take it anymore 😪

I don’t understand why people are getting such delayed separation dates. I thought the original offer had said your last day would roughly be around 9/2026. The only reason I didn’t take it is because I didn’t feel that I had enough time to safely look for another job. This is so upsetting, I don’t understand the catch.

Yup UM here. Literally none of my team is meeting. Wish I had the opportunity to take VSP but under 2 years. I want to be laid off so bad.
