My thought is so many of us applied that they couldn't hold up their end of benefits for everyone to depart in Sept. The added dates allow at least one large depart per quarter for a full year! If we quit between now and our separation date - OVER A YEAR FROM NOW (!!!!!!!) they don't have to pay us anything!

@a3 too many initially applied thinking that their jobs were going to be eliminated and they were going to be laid off….
once that got cleared up with communication those that wanted to withdraw the VSP because they may not be part of a layoff did so so initially.
yes, too many applied
@a5 some in my department literally have no work to do and the VSP is for way later. So it's a messed up situation.
@OP some if us in our department literally have no work to do but the VSP is way later. Make that make sense!! Uggg
Has anyone heard anything regarding the call center?? Will those people be affected?? I know a few people in the call center who got offered the vsp because they were there over 2 years! But nothing more i will be here just a year in august but dont know if ill be on the chopping block??
My date is November 2027....transparency my @ss
@a3 lacking critical thinking
@a3 Obviously too many applied because they had to extend the time they would go through the apps to make a decision. They also extended from September to as much as a year and half after the fact so obviously they had more people apply than they were planning on. Yes they could have just rejected applications, but they didn't. Why didn't they just deny peoples applications rather than hold them for a year and a half!! So misleading
This whole company and how this is all being handled su-ks! I hate it here! They led us all to believe we would separate Sept and then things change and now expected us to work longer! I am trying so hard to be positive and appreciate I have a job as much as I hate it here, but this company and situation has made it very difficult! The ridiculous amount of this pittance of a severance will not be worth it. I hate it here!
What makes you think too many applied when Centene controls the number of VSPs accepted? Common sense people!
@a1 Right? How many people applied based on the terminology "on or around"? I honestly think any more than 2 months does not qualify as "around" let alone 15 months from now. They're going to have a whole lot of angry fed up Centeamers (maybe) showing up and not really not giving a sh**.
@OP indeed!
I chose to risk it and skip the VSP. they can lay me off the right way...or not. lol!
I'm irked mostly for the ones who have (non-Centene) job offers for Aug/Sept 2026. I've seen a few cenTEAMers post here on the boards.
What decent employer would hold a job opening for an extra 6 months??? a desperate one, I'd imagine.
this whole "program" is shoddy
