I will. Just as soon as you stop your incessant bootlicking.

Do let me know if you ever become capable.

I didn’t accept the VSP for various reasons but I sympathize with those who were given a summer/fall 2027 release date. I’m sure they are aware that most people will quit or be fired before then and they won’t have to pay anything IF that’s what the terms say. I’ll just say use your benefits and take care of yourselves as best you can.

What is sad is we are all trying to process what has happened today! We were lead to believe that we were all getting a Sept release date. A lot of us found out it won’t be. The ones who accepted the VSP have their reasons and the ones who didn’t have theirs! The need to be mean and cruel and make rude comments to posts who are people trying to process what has happened is mind blowing. If I want to vent and say I hate this company it’s my right! Tomorrow is a new day and a new perspective will arise but let people vent let people be angry let people not be happy this is called the layoff page no need to be mean!

I was another one whose VSP was accepted but with a severance date in Nocember 2027. It feels like a bait and switch but I'm just going to focus on doing what I need to do for my family and myself, like use my PTO and not let this company wreck my mental health any more than it already has. This VSP deal was just another example of how shady they are. It su-ks but at least our eyes have been opened.

You will be letting the company win if the non-VSPers and the VSPers begin to turn on one another.

In all honesty, both sides are just a vulnerable to getting canned.

Going against one another will just make Humana Resources job that much easier as you cancel each other out with you dog eat dog gang turf type behavior.

The company is not the friend and could careless about any of you. If you don’t see that yet, some day the company will make that clear to you.

@ae

Careful with that smarmy 'tude, dude.
People might be laid off, this is true.

There will also be those who remain, who are "inexplicably" put on PIPs, then booted out the door without even having the "luxury" of being laid off.

You could very well be one of those unfortunates...no serverance, no unemployment insurance $. Then what?

Even if they don't force you to hit the bricks, you're going to wish you were laid off or got a VSP, considering the unrelenting and ever-increasing, heinously heavy workload they're going to keep dumping on you, due to so many others leaving.

You ain't seen nothin' yet!

Yeah I knew they were gonna pull some BS so I didn’t bother taking it. I think if they do need to do layoffs, people who accepted the VSP will be first to go. Sorry but you all signed for it and fell for false promises for a company. There’s your number one rule exemplified- your job is NOT your friend!

@aa

This is probably true. So make a shift in your mindset, and just pretend the whole VSP thing never happened. You didn't get an offer for it, you didn't accept, and it isn't coming your way.

Then focus all of your energies into getting a new job. No matter what happens at this one between now and this time next year, just act AS IF the whole VSP thing is a non-existent issue, and the one thing you have paramount in your mind, is that you've decided to get a new job, at a different place (could be in a completely different industry...your job skills are transferrable!), and you're not going to stop until you get a job offer at a new place. And that offer will be for a substantial amount MORE MONEY than what you've been making here.

So either of these things will happen: You'll be in a better work situation, which pays more money, or you'll stay in this one, with getting a nice VSP package by about this time next year. Of course, they could pull some funny bidnizz on you in the meantime, which is why you have to FROM TODAY ONWARD, look at this as a situation where you need to beat the clock, by getting hired somewhere else ASAP.

Don't look at it as you potentially losing out on the VSP.
They just pulled a bait and switch on you and everyone else who got j3rked around with this BS of a one YEAR WAIT for MAYBE getting a VSP pkg. So fu*k'em. Don't even look at it as something you had, which got yanked out from under you...this is worse...it was a warped, empty promise, and your peace of mind and household income can't wait to stick around HOPING these evil fiends will "do what's right."

They already just proved that they don't hesitate to do what's wrong.
And then gaslight you on top of it.

Just look at them as being pitiful clowns, who you don't have time for anymore.
Look for and find a way out.
Don't fret about losing out on a VSP...can't mourn what you never had in the first place!
This situatio for EVERYONE is beyond the VSP at this point...it's about your own $urvival!

@a6 i swear they are doing this so people get fired before then and they dont get the VSP. People who accepted the package want OUT NOW not in 14 months.

I am also Aug 2027! A whole year to work bitter and working the bare minimum!
I guess spend the next year paying off bills to survive this outcome!

@a5

Yours is for this year: Friday December 11th, 2026.

Dec. 11th of 2027 is not a work day, it's a Saturday.

Also, someone else had responded in a different thread saying their separation date was F. 12/11/2026, so you're good.

I'd contact HR to request for them to resend you the acceptance notification email, with adding in the the year, just to be on the safe side. Super important to have that clarified in NO UNCERTAIN terms, in writing from them.

@a5 I received November 12th of next year. I am floored. And if by chance they deem my performance less than, I am Sol. Talk about living under constant anxiety. It was hard enough to decide to take it to begin with. I swear it had to have been a typo there's no way I have to wait 14 months to leave. Yep that's exactly what's happening. I feel so wronged by centene right now. I had everything mapped out take a couple weeks of a well-deserved break, go on that vacation, take care of a few bills and have a little bit of a nest egg to sit on until I found my next adventure. How the he-l am I going to hang in there now for 14 months feeling like I'm under the microscope. How do I trust anything they say. Every email and every indication that we had says we were all going to be done September 1st with maybe a few exceptions. I am disgusted to say the least

I still plan to do the bare minimum for the next year protecting my mental health nothing more nothing extra! My paychecks stay the same and this company obviously doesn’t reward for loyalty or hard work.
