Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Yet more senior leadership changes on the way

Has the new Head of Operations from JPMorgan Chase come to BNYM yet? You would think clients would wonder why the Head of Ops role has become such a revolving door.

I've lost count ... am I missing someone? That's a lot of names in a very high-level position in just ten years.

  • new person coming
  • Alejandro for a month?
  • Bridget failed to successfully lead Ops (anyone shocked???)
  • Ann Fogarty
  • Lester Owens
  • Dan Kramer
  • Doug Shulman
  • Andy Bell

Bring back Ann Fogarty

I'd take Andy Bell or Ann Fogarty back! The rest were a complete waste of time and money. When will the EC members making these terrible decisions be held accountable? You know the common theme about AB and AF? They were part of the BNYM fabric and actually cared. AB retired and they pushed out AF and then lost a large amount of top talent after! Operations still hasn't recovered from when Bridget tried her best to take over. The very reason Ops is in such bad shape..... is because Tech won't deliver on the promised automation. So why would anyone think putting that person in charge would work when she couldn't deliver on Tech? Actions speak louder than pretty slides and 100% scripted talking points. Tech delivery keeps getting pushed and Ops staff keep getting cut. So much for "responsible" growth. BNYM is Profits over People

How about the number of CDO's at the bank in 7 years

Dave Gleason
John Flemming
Gary Barr
Eric Hirshorn

Who's next? None of these guys are effective at their jobs. None understood Data.

Ann Fogarty was our only competent Operations head. Nobody else on that list was ever able to run Operations.
