Yeah, it’s greener. My last couple years at BNY I struggled with my manager telling me every year that I was not going to get a raise because I was already at the top of my band. Sc--w that. I left two years ago and I’m making over 50k more now.
Did I forget to mention that other places have good bonuses?

Even if the grass is not greener, there’s a pretty decent chance you can get paid more somewhere else. I’m now at a place where I have fewer responsibilities, but make a lot more.

No exaggerating at all. I’ve worked at five financial institutions and post merger BNYM is by far the worst.
I came from Wells. Certainly a lot lot worse than BNY
After I was fired from BNY due to senior management politics I found a much better place that rewarded my hard work.
Who knew Stockholm syndrome was so prevalent at Bny .
