Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Got GDP?

Supposed to be payable March 1st. Don't know if it is deposited as its own separate payment or included in the next regular paycheck. If you got it, what percent?

Someone said that anyone who got redeployed didn't get GDP. Not true. I am redeployed (about to be made redundant unsurprisingly) and I did get it. Was about 1.2%.

To be honest, it could have been 2c and it still would have been the largest GDP I've had in 5 years.

Every year I work less. I used to beat my numbers by 20%. Today, I just do the minimum to not get laid off. Works for me, plenty of free time, especially when working from home. It is great, loving it. Hope this continues.

My family is actually asking everyday if I worked today... They are all jealous seeing me doing mostly nothing most days. Thank you IBM!!

These IBM execs are such a bunch of id--ts... keep it up f----rs!

GDP funded 1.5%, a joke. For B10, 3%. D and up have received minimum 15% nearly every year. Plus RSUs.

  1. 5% US. I've heard guidance was 1-2% for top performers, but obviously up to managers' discretion if some folks should get less and who gets more.

Last GDP was 2019 for everyone. No one is hiding anything from you if you didn't get one between then and now. I think there was a year in-between where a very select group of top-performers got IBM shares but it wasn't considered GDP.

https://www.thelayoff.com/post/@3koq+1lptKo0C Before joining IBM I was with this company for the longest time and was looking for a change. IBM was the first company that offered and I jumped ships to feed my ego. My responsibility was limited initially within IBM but then my portfolio was expanded within the shortest time. People were nice but money wasn’t. Pace was very slow and I could have done two jobs. When I resigned they were ready to offer me more money but I didn’t resign to negotiate. They should have known better. It was a good experience where I learnt jargons and some cloud. I had so much time at hand that I was doing not just internal but external certifications at my own expense.

None of the re-deployed, performance high or low, got any GDP

@3jtp you were smarter than me because I went for years getting sub 1% increases and believing the lie that my manager told me each year that the company wasn't making money and therefore nobody was getting increases. Now I know better but it's too late. GDP is the bonus, not an increase to the base salary

Left some time ago on my terms because never got any bonus or yearly increments. Is GDP yearly increment or bonus?

Because IBM is so @$$ fvckln backwards The fact that they are paying these for the first time since 2019 is definitive proof that the biggest RA in the past 10 years is quickly approaching So lets pay millions out in insulting increments to thousands of people that are just going to be let go instead of maybe saving a few hundred that deserve saving because they are actually help the business You see that would require real work...and actually caring.

US, got 2.75%… so better than nothing like the past few years but still quite ridiculous. That will definitely not make me work harder. Just doing the absolute minimum.

Checked workday and my last GDP payment was in 2019! I'm wondering if GDP had been suspended for that long (Canada B9), or just my manager shutting me out even though my review said I did fine.
