MAJOR Outlook Issues!

Anyone else having serious issues with Outlook and maybe other platforms running so slow that you literally can’t get anything done?!? This is INSANE! Been on the phone with Support so many times and they keep blaming one thing after another before they give up on my concerns and I’m back to twiddling my thumbs as I wait for my computer to respond. Insanely frustrating at this point- nobody cares enough to figure out why this is happening and I KNOW I’m not the only one.

If you have this issue, PLEASE CALL SUPPORT so they figure out that this is a serious company-wide issue and they need to stop just closing tickets when folks try to let them know.

Hearing the Microsoft tickets are closed/getting closed with no solution. Awesome.

Meanwhile, the problem is getting worse quickly. Other programs impacted at this point. Maybe they should look at all the tracking software installed on laptops since they don’t trust their employees. It all seemed to start when a few things were added…. Let’s not ignore the obvious.

I also heard this from other people.

the larger performed even better than associates with less than 5

Glad I’m over the threshold

@1jon+1lr00vJB Apparently size of mailbox has nothing to do with it. Folks with as small as 3GB and as large as 45+GB mailboxes reviewed- often, the larger performed even better than associates with less than 5GB sized boxes.

Yes!! Haven’t seen an email about the ongoing issue, but I called support Friday and they didn’t say a thing about a known issue. Every time I open a calendar invite in my inbox my pc says “Not responding”

Seems odd there is no bulletin to let everyone know of the performance issue in Outlook. It is being worked. No need to waste time engaging tech support.

Shared calendar option was once thought to be the answer until turning that on for everyone ended up making performance worse. I can confirm leadership is very aware.
Generally Outlook slowness is usually caused by third party add-ins, size of mailbox, corrupt profile, etc but none of that normal troubleshooting is helping.
Along the way it was thought certain changes fixed it and that was the answer but the slowness crept back even with those fixes. Ball is in Microsoft's court right now.

For your folks with shared calendars- have them try turning off the “improved shared calendar” feature.. it’s helped for other companies with similar issues. It won’t limit them-

@1dsi+1lr00vJB It would just be nice if they said that they couldn’t do anything to fix it before I spend 3 hours a week on with support folks who all have different theories- it’s my network one day, it’s the limited space on my outlook another day, it’s because I needed 365 the next day… for those of us who aren’t just on conference calls all day, we can’t get work done at this point- just makes no sense why it’s taking so long to demand focus on getting this resolved. They need to send an email out so our leaders don’t think we’re at fault or slacking.. they don’t seem to believe that we’re still unable to be productive.

If it doesn’t work for months and months.. it’s time for the leaders in technology to find another solution. GOOD LORD!

Yes there are Outlook issues and it is not that no one cares.... it's been being worked on for months and seems to have come to a head this week. There are 20 different things going on and engineering is working directly with Microsoft to figure out a solution but there isn't one answer right now. The people who work the service desk and additional levels of support have no control over it at this point. Even if they do everything right it's still slow. The problem is worse if you have other mailboxes or calendars linked to Outlook.

New low for BAC

Some companies use slack, meet, teams or webex.

BAC uses the layoff 😂😂😂

i would give management credit if they used this method as a creative way to cut costs.
