Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Greener pastures

So far I'm having no luck getting a new job. I talked to a few people who have left already and I was surprised by the salary increase they received. It's not a slightly higher pay, it's a significant increase. Is it possible that we are so underpaid here?

Left BNYM as a 75K Executive Assistant. Now making 95K as an Executive Assistant with a Tech company. Also getting year end bonus. Grass is greener!

Yes. My salary has almost tripled since leaving bnym in a matter of a few years.
This is in the UK. Was underpaid and given low ball bonuses there for too long.

Bnym under pays drastically compared to other companies!! Bnym really needs to catch up to the times with pay and technology.
Amazed its still an operating bank.

It’s always been that way. Many hires come in making more than supervisors and experienced coworkers. Likely many here did as well but do not realize it, particularly in Operations. Once into management above supervisory roles it begins to align much more with responsibility, effort and deliverables.

We are underpaid here. New employees are even making more than their managers or team leads in some departments. Someone should post this in my source let’s talk about pay, it’s not against the law. You’ll see how different pay is without the same groups. People who have left are making from 20-45k more now.
