Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Six interviews in the last two months and no offers

Each time I thought I did great, they seemed satisfied and vocalized it, and then I either got an email that they decided to go with another candidate or they ghosted me altogether. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, which confuses me even more. Did anybody else have similar experiences? What's going on here?

I've notice there is a lot of unconscious bias in the hiring process at the bank. In my 20 years of working, the new managers may unknowingly favor candidates from their own background due to unconscious biases. These biases can influence decision-making and lead to hiring individuals from the same community or n_ _ _ _ _ t _ _ _y. You fill in the blanks.

Jobs are definitely out there, just got an offer for a position paying 10% more a year than I'm making now at the bank, plus they offer real bonuses not this 1-2% bs they give at the bank. Just keep at it, you'll get there.

Absolutely. It usually means either the req was pulled, went to a friend of someone within the hiring organization or you simply got edged out by someone a bit more qualified. Usually if you make it to the final two candidates the hiring manager will contact you to let you know the final decision.
