Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

What are the chances that you will still be employed here in one year?

Every day I hear from people who are so tired of this place that they have no intention of staying any longer than they have to. Personally, other than layoffs, I have no issues with my job. I am lucky to have a great boss and great coworkers, though. I do wonder sometimes how many people feel differently and can't wait to get out.

Trust me if I could get laid off I would be stoked. I’m burned out.

I quiet quit and will be here to collect the measly paycheck and declining health benefits as long as they keep paying.

(Most of the benefits they brag about apply to <5% of the employees.)

I am pretty sure OP is the CEO of this company. I see people cautiously responding. :-)

People love to complain in general. This is a good company with mobility if you want to change…once the freeze is 100% lifted.

I like my team, the work, and my boss but I may look around in a couple years once the house is paid off for more money (or less hours) if the Bank doesn't stop being so stingy with those record profits. Willing to take more career risks knowing I could survive temporarily on doordash/Uber with minimal living expenses.

I asked my sidekick and she asked me if I had knee pads. Not sure what she meant.

Focker, out! Although I really love my team and boss, that doesn't change the fact that the company as a whole is terribly run. Management makes poor decisions without thinking things through. They also make promotion decisions based on favoritism vs actual work. And worse, compensation is some of the worst I've seen, on average with 1-2% raises and table scraps for bonuses all the while the company is making money hand over fist.
