We received an email from our Head that they are currently reviewing folks who are "Based at Home". What does this even mean?

Are other department heads sending same emails?

This is nothing like Charlie. Schart ran afoul of U.K. labor laws and learned the hard way to respect international laws. Europe is essentially anti-working and they are leading the U.S. in the same direction.

They have closed my work-site, and now I report to a location 100 miles from my home and they tell me, the door is there for you to leave, nice management.

How about our CEO focus on getting our stock price stable much less cratering instead of beating the employees until morale improves. I used to really enjoy working here but it has become a very quick slide into a pretty hostile environment.

This is like the chainsaw charlie days of 2018 all over again. Remember the 500+ pages of people complaining about that stupid no-more-WFH policy he tried to bring in?

My manager is based at home and lives in Texas. Most of the senior analysts are based at home and scattered across the country. If they tell them they have to RTO, they'll just leave.

We were told the goal is for everyone to be back in the office 5 days a week and there is 0.0 reason for people to be stationed at home any longer. Covid is over- party like it is 2019.

Face it, BNYM doesn't care about you. They take away more and more employee benefits, call Return to the Office, Return to Work, as if we weren't working our @$$'$ off already. Cutting people, more and more to come. It's a network of the "cool kids" and my friends, if your reading this text "you ain't in the club" get out whilst you can. Haha - & My group just hired a based at home employee
I also hear a rumor - just a rumor for now, that groups are only permitted so many based at home employees & if the group has more than the slotted amount they would ask some to come in.

This is hilarious. They demanded days in the office, all the while enforcing RTO even as they were hiring fully remote employees. This team couldn’t manage themselves out of a paper bag.
