Start looking for VVV email addresses tomorrow.
Will it be substantial? No. But we spoke of 1,500 of 51K so no substantial plans in 2023.
Unless of course you are impacted. Then it is substantial for you and your family.

Confirmed. I know of 2 on my floor let go last week
Only one more false layoff rumor from some wag’s imaginary HR Friend.
Don’t panic, It’s only NYC Summer days. Those teams will return in September and you’ll be fixing their mistakes again as soon as you know it.
I was let go today. 26 years as a programmer. I always received good performance reviews. Got an email for a "one on one" with my manager. I get on the call and it's my managers boss. Tells me to go into a private room and notifies me. Bummed. We're all being replaced by Indian works at 1/3 the pay rate. Be ready.
We haven’t had “monthly layoffs” since 2000 to 2008 and those layoffs were large at 10% per year, every year… no exceptions. These are good times in comparison.
“Since then we had one small fraction of an 0.01% layoff in January and we are now having a small targeted action against employees who have decided to reuse to work.
Robin appears to be managing correctly. Productive employees have nothing to worry about.”
Sorry @1qab but ….
The above is total bs , always received achieves or above on reviews but for unknown reason was laid off , it’s who management likes and dislikes
What was the severance package offered to the displaced?
I’ve heard of a few colleagues that have been let go today. And an old boss told me that it’ll be going on most of the week.
Funny how Todd’s nephew that’s always on here boot licking claims people here are racists but not these executives raking in $15 million a year while paying people in India bread crumbs.
That being said, Todd‘s nephew, probably doesn’t believe one id--tic thing he repeats day after day on here. . He’s constantly posting on here. Just stirring the pot.
@1cia, sorry, but I never said the Bank is predominantly located in India. Try to keep your racist views straight. It's a fact, we are firing people in the US and hiring people in India.
And they aren't full fledged employees like I am. They get paid quite a bit less and have a lot less benefits and rights.
The answer of course is that the bank functions and does not have monthly layoffs. We had two years under Todd where only nonperforming employees were displaced. Todd took the high road by giving them a package.
Since then we had one small fraction of an 0.01% layoff in January and we are now having a small targeted action against employees who have decided to reuse to work.
Robin appears to be managing correctly. Productive employees have nothing to worry about.
The Bank of course is not predominantly located in India, and we haven’t had a significant layoff for a very long time…. Charlie Scharf in August 2018.
Even this rumor now is .03 percent. You’re more likely to win the powerball than to be layed off here.
Yep. a guy in my team was let go today. They said it was a targeted position that was slated to go last year. They also said it was "release and replace", and since he was the earliest guy on the team, he was the cheapest one to let go.
us older folks they are trying to frustrate us, trying to get us to quit. That way they wont need to pay our severance
I too lost my job today
No idea how this bank functions while still doing monthly layoffs. Well I do know…they can barely keep the lights on. No one takes us seriously in the market either. It’s impossible for them to when most of the company is located in India.
Getting let go in 2021 was probably the best thing for my career. I’m now making $50k more in a job that is 100% WFH. I actually enjoy my work again. I come here occasionally to see what is going on at the bank, but I can’t help but feel sorry for those still clinging onto their jobs. Yes, the fear and uncertainty is real, but there is life on the other side. Good luck if the layoff rumors are true.
It’s not fake news. Upper mgmt already laid down how many cuts are needed and from where. Pittsburgh is expected to take a big hit as usual
Pick me please before 2025 Great depression.
fake news
Well, it's not out of 51k employees since offshore is never affected. Adversely, anyway...
I'll sit and wait for the resident woke poster to accuse me of being racist for stating facts.

Getting laid off by a company run by WEF stooges is a good thing.. make them bleed!
The lack of awareness award goes to the hr muppet that spoke at a symposium with Eric mass mu---r holder! Hilarious!
It’s true and the Pittsburgh office is supposed to get hit as usual. But hey, they’re also ironically deemed a growth center even though half the people there literally cannot do their job
This bank like the others are dinosaurs that should have been allowed to go extinct in the 2008 crash.. instead the sc-mbags black rock and soros gave these banks a lifeline.. bad decisions were made and now the dei pushes are destroying themselves!
Pick me! This place sux!
Is this real or fake news?
Is this on the WARN notice?
