I’ve heard no summer hours this year. Can anyone confirm? This is a no cost value add for staff and makes employee happy!

When I was at bony, we had all year slow times. Coming back from holidays, spring vacations, summer vacations, back to school season. There was always a season for why we never had work to do.
Summer fridays is basically everyday when you work at the graveyard.

Summer Fridays are commonly practiced across different companies and industries and have been for years. BNYM allowed it for a year or two, then took it away, despite it being such an easy, inexpensive bone to throw employees.

It was 2 hours for us. Not worth having to work the 2 extra hours to make up for it
Doesn’t seem to be this year. Things were looking up with flexibility but that was short lived. They’re taking away anything beneficial to the employee. Going completely backwards.

In case it’s not painfully obvious to some of you this leadership team is doing everything it can to get people to leave. RTO nanny bullsh-t, the 401k match change, the overall cr-ppy benefits, the new GS “culture” which emphasizes cutthroat politics instead of delivery…it’s all to alienate the staff so they leave voluntarily and can be replaced with low paid offshore resources in India, Poland, and wherever the next cheapest hot spots are.
Robin can’t grow the business because he’s an unimaginative fu-k and the cronies he’s bringing in all demonstrate third tier leadership and thinking. Like the new flunkie he brought in who was fired from her last job but is responsible for growth or commerciality or whatever bullsh-t Robin is trying to sell the board and the street. It’s not working if you’ve seen the share price

We had summer Friday's in Finance when Emily Portney was CFO. Loved her and Todd. The new CFO is a GS guy and just listening to him, you can tell. Bad vibz.
Never seen or heard of anything like this in my whole career. It does explain BONY’s 1980s tech footprint though.
Dors GS or JPM have summer hours? If not then we won't. Our "leadership" takes all HR direction from them.
Summer hours? What are those? Don’t think that’s common across the board, and probably is an under the table, non-HR sanctioned management decision.
