I really wanted to push the line with my previous manager. I was ready to tell him that I would do the survey only if he changed more than 5 words in my reviews. I opted to go a different route. I added or modified my comments to see if he noticed. Nope, by the sixth review my changes contraindicated his feedback by 80%. For three years I played that game. It was so bad that I had to point out the awards that were attached for 2 years. The final review had 38 pages of awards and customer reviews.

No one is forcing this. But your manager might get grief for low numbers. So they ask.

Not sure what the big deal is. Blast away on it. Management isn’t going to act on it.

They are enforcing - the manager personally asks each team member. As well as couching the answers. After the results - chases every person to find out who dared write something not to his liking.

And after the survey makes sure you do the training that's not due for two months but really needs to be done now.

They aren’t forcing you. They just remind you every second of every day.
