Agile is a fraud. Isn't it amazing how it has been in IT culture for over a decade and yet everyone needs coaching like it's the first time it's been seen? Agile might be good for a brand new product, but a massively regulated entity like BAC, it doesn't make sense

Agile is great for software development if it's used properly. The problem is that we don't use it properly and it's applied to non development efforts so it ends up wasting everyone's time.
I agree to some extent. Agile has it's place in IT for some projects. I would like to hear in meetings only participants of the projects who do the actual work. The spectators need to go as they have no value in the projects and make the scope larger and waste more resources. The question I imposed on many people is the what if Agile was used on the Apollo 13 mission. Yep, more people working in NASA and the mission would of been a major disaster without a successful ending. There needs to be a hybrid between Waterfall and Agile without the special titles.
They probably paid some (or several) consulting firm to recommend Agile to them. Just like lean and six sigma. BofA late to the game (which is total smoke and mirrors). they just like thinking they are the cool kids with the "new" buzz word. Consultants profit.

Yep, before it was lean and six sigma - mostly a buzzword in meetings for executives who didn’t know much about it..
Agile is like the jelly of the month club. They will move on to the next fad after this gets too tedious and they see it adds no value.
