RTO conflicts with BofA's ESG policies and commitments but that's never addressed. Average of 72 minutes commuting per day x everyone told to RTO = +/- 120,000 hours per day of unnecessary commuting emissions, and that's using less that 50% of total employees. That's a commitment saving the environment and reducing greenhouse gases?
Given the increase in productivity, the reason of "our culture" takes a big hit. How many teams are spread across many sites, causing workers to drive in only to end up on Web meetings all day, but get more work done when they don't have to do that commute? Quite a few, apparently. The numbers support it, despite what people insisted on this site when mass wfh began.
RTO is all about perceived loss of control by mgt and a way to reduce headcount by getting people to quit.
