Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Growth Ventures

What’s going on with GV? Just another way to spin Data and Analytics or is it real? What groups stay and which ones go?

@2juj

He’s all talk…. I remember his seminal “I have a scream” speech, but soon realized it was a daily screed against other senior leaders, his direct reports and anyone else within earshot.

@2gwb

We’ll all know what he’s working on in Growth Ventures soon enough when we hear the screaming.

@2juj agreed. Strategy was taken away from him and given to one of RV's new ex-Goldman people. Seems like a big sign of lack of confidence there. Giving him "Growth Ventures" may mean there's something RV wants him to do before he's pushed out of the Bank.

Ah, the head of Growth Ventures. The most toxic individual imaginable.

Trashes his EC colleagues and takes joy out of destroying colleagues and underlings.

If RV had integrity, he’d have send the guy packing the moment he joined.

It’s a same old well worn Organic Growth PowerPoint with fresh faces and cooler fonts.

Look and see who is the head of Growth Ventures. Tells you all you need to know.
