Wealth Mgmt - something not right

People in WM are flooding the gates. Some offices down to 2 people. Zero hiring. Teams lifting out. Not a word. Keating is a disaster. Missed goals all 5 years, treats people like animals. Still here. Either they are trying to sell it off or running it into the ground for some reason. No investment into the business. Nobody can get a feel. Well over a decade here, it’s just bad. Culture of fear and unethical practices rules the day.

Umm no loss if you leave with your imaginary workplace violations.

Umm no. I’m saying a class action brought by employees who have witnessed and experienced unlawful workplace practices by BNY.

Good lord… you’re going to sue employees for their anti-employer theft of time and for rejecting all work in the workplace?.

Now I really have heard it all…

I am exploring an employee class action lawsuit against them for unlawful practices in the workplace. Please comment if you would like to discuss offline.

Colleagues arriving at 930, staying an hour, leaving again until 230/3, then leaving for the day. Every day. Every single day. Management saying he “doesn’t know what he’s doing”. Nothing being done about it. Rewarding bad behavior. Over and over

The strategy of going farther and farther upmarket is extremely short sighted. Hating WFH but also outsourcing to India doesn’t make much sense. I wonder how much longer RV will stand for it.

Why we even have a Wealth Management business to begin with when we have no hopes of ever having the scale to compete with proper shops should be the real question at hand. Guess it's a Mellon thing.

It’s WM why are you surprised? They cannot do their jobs and have to rely on another team in another location to walk them through everything. They should be down to zero long before now. It’s pathetic to be honest

@2oyl

It’s just like organized crime. You marry into the family and now it’s your real family. Research on the Internet.

You do realize Keating is her married name right? Charles Keating was not her father.

Lincoln Savings and Loan collapsed in 1989, at a cost of $3.4 billion to the federal government. The Keating Five…. Worked with the protecting and covering up the Keating family shenanigans. In an age of instant information you can look it up.

Someone on here is obsessed with this “Keating family” nonsense. Get over it. No connection. Horrible? She is, but not related.

Whatever the performance issues, please take the sixteen seconds to do the research and quit the nonsense about Keating 5 and Charles Keating etc. There is zero connection.

The WFH is the least of the problems, at least in the satellite offices. Liftouts to 5/3 are rampant. The small accounts group keeps quitting. No support. Fort Lauderdale is down to two people. Winter park has no wealth manager. Pittsburgh and NY has had liftout after liftout. Nobody cares. Either Robin wises up or maybe it’s by design. Pretty bad business if you ask me.

Question is… why is she still running the place when it keeps shrinking, we lose people and don’t replace, we manage less than what we did in 2011, morale is disgraceful. There is a bigger motive here and the peasants aren’t being informed.

Word is CK is pushing for 5 days. I suppose so she can walk around and make everyone uncomfortable 5 days instead of 3.
The facility with which she can keep harping on about RTO being necessary while ignoring the benefits and productivity gains is worthy of a psychology paper

CK is militantly anti-WFH. Gone are the days of her waxing philosophic about Blackberry phones…
She forwards every anti-WFH/Force-RTO puff articles to mid-management — must not take time to read them as most are fact-free. That has really made me realise the level of her intellectual Caliber.

Morale in WM is at an all-time low. Years of below inflation “merit” raises and CK’s uninspiring leadership make attrition and lift-outs a certainty. It must be by design. The beatings will continue until morale improves

Maybe the High Net Worth clients gradually let one another know about Keating’s family history and the Keating Five scandals? Not all HNW clients have the intelligence to conduct due diligence and ask questions to ascertain whether they should place their assets here. But if they’re suspecting issues they’ll listen to rich friends.
