Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

RV is clueless and can shove his pod bs

So sick of him and others acting like they know what we do and what’s best. Sit in your bubble and stay out of the rest of the business . Maybe it would do better

Can you believe how d-mbed down and clueless our employees are?

“I don't think RV and the upper echelon care much about clients or regulators.”

Pretty sure that all high quality workers in America who have worked here have already departed. Our offshore resources are now our best employees.

A reorg saves money. Robin is obviously well aware of that.

Pretty sure that the high quality people are long gone.

@4slh yes, but I don't think RV and the upper echelon care much about clients or regulators. If large shareholders start kicking up a storm, it might be a different story. High-profile activists trashing management in the press would get his attention.

I (jokingly) said years ago that the upper echelons were replacing our middle management with pod people. I may have unknowingly uncovered an internal psyop in the making.

Wait till he figures out how much it’s going to cost to reorg. Plus I have a feeling a large number of quality people are looking for just one more excuse to leave this sorry company. If he thinks he’s going to save any money through efficiency with this pod model or by shedding talent in high cost locations and backfilling with warm bodies in low cost locations, he is in for a rude awakening.

The company is headed for a major downturn. At some point regulators and clients are going to express concerns.

Why is it that people in large office suites with the occasional fake grass putting greens seem to always feel that other people work best collaborating at long tables or in tiny cubicles?

Not pods, buds, and he ate buds in Davos and he liked them.

Look for high quality buds in the café salad bar.

What is he saying about pods? (I left but remained entertained that the recent tradition of total management incompetence is being upheld.)

Of course little can beat the ten shows he awarded to make everyone owners. They’re gonna be rich, I tell you!
