I worked at another company that was a minor sponsor of the Charlotte Hornets and employees would often get offers to free tickets to attend games and concerts at the arena.
My desk looks INTO the BofA stadium and not once have I ever been offered free (or even discounted) tickets to anything going on there. Stupid public event fan days don’t count.
There should be a lottery system Charlotte employees can enter to get tickets for every Panthers & Charlotte FC home game as well as concerts. If the tickets were in-hand and had to be picked up at the box office that would eliminate the risk of scalping.
This tiny gesture would do so much more for employee “appreciation” than a stupid ice cream social.
We have record profits but employees are rewarded with peanuts while Leadership maxes their big fat comp packages.
