And @6xbq, I got a bonus when Todd fired me. I guess my boss must have handed out bonuses for us people who were not acting normally during covid.

@5zgb, you lie. Todd fired me and hundred of my co-workers in January of 2021 during peak covid just after the vaccine was approved. That was 8 months after everyone started working remotely and 6 years after I started working remotely. And there was nothing normal about senior "leaders" constantly cancelling our deployments in 2020 and causing massive reworks for no reason.

That’s a very interesting question. I certainly would hope that BNYM honors your BNY tuition reimbursement, but with all of the other games they’re playing to shaft us nothing would come as a surprise. I recommend that you first review your paperwork for preparation, think through your argument and then contact HR to discuss it.

@5iza

This post says it all regarding unethical employees.

You’re receiving a generous sub pay package from BNY and trying to hide your new job to double dip. Everybody who leaves fails to get their bonus. People like you are the very reason why Management doesn’t trust employees.

Why not just do the right thing instead of trying to get over?

@lpl

Todd fired no one. Todd generously gave packages to people being terminated for cause, in recognition that people were not acting normally over the 2 1/2 year COVID ordeal.

Great Leadership always comes from times of adversity.

If I continue taking sub pay from BNY in spite of my new job will they come to know? I already lost my bonus.

They rounded up when Todd fired me and hundreds of my co-workers.
And they rounded up too. From the separation doc a few years ago:
`Full Years. All Eligible Employees with less than a year of Continuous Service (measured from each
employee’s Anniversary Date) are treated as having one (1) year of Continuous Service for purposes of
determining their benefits under the SUB Plan. Eligible Employees with more than a year of Continuous
Service under the SUB Plan shall have their period of Continuous Service under the SUB Plan rounded
up to the next full year. `

Wow they treat the displaced better than the retirees.

The upside down world of BNYM…

@ync they round up so your 5 years 7 months would be 6 years which is 12 weeks supplemental pay.

I am going to school with BNY tuition reimbursement. After the layoff, do I still get the past semester reimbursed?

I've been here for 5 years and 7 months. Do they do any rounding, or would it be only 5 years to be considered in the calculation of sub payments?

2 weeks per year you have worked here after the termination date and no bonus , 401k match etc.

2 weeks for each year of service with 4 week minimum. Can be collected at the same time as unemployment since it’s considered supplemental pay and not severance pay.
