Nope, I have several that were just moved to virtual due to office closure and one who has been BAH for 10 years and one other for 2 years and haven't been told a thing about them going into the office. May be true for some but not all

Absolutely not. Robin has completely reversed and destroyed Todd’s era of wise, caring and gentle leadership. To the lifers… we know that you’re terrified of leaving for whatever reason or fear, but now is the last opportunity to leave under your own power.

It seems that Robin is constantly thinking out loud and reversing most all that he says as he goes. I don’t believe that he has ever led before, but was likely in the Senior management debating societies beneath Senior Leadership at other banks. He clearly is not a leader.
Leaders articulate a no-nonsense plan and communicate goals, duties and tasks. Robin reverses himself weekly. That’s not a leader.

There absolutely are mandates. RV has been very clear regarding the allowable percentage of BAH employees and his direct reports are taking action accordingly. Some good decisions are being made and some are so short-sighted as to be alarming. 2024 is going to be a very bumpy ride.

You personal knowledge is neither a policy or a mandate. May be your friends were special to the organization (from any perspective). One cannot believe these m.. ns make a policy call based on one instance. I presume you are not one of the leaders in BNYM. Then we are heading down the tube for sure.

If they are pushing for RTO for everyone, then that should include senior leadership too. How is it fair that we have leaders with c-suite titles who get to be remote? Practice what you preach

@2iyw What proof do you want? I have DIRECT knowledge of conversations with multiple high quality BAH employees who have been told that they must be in an office. It has absolutely nothing to do with performance or productivity or anything aside from the fact that senior management is demanding virtually no BAH. These aren’t people who are just refusing to go in but people on long standing successful arrangements and/or who do not have access to an office. Further, no one cares what the impact will be to losing these people and it won’t be minor in some instances. Is that proof enough? Ge-z. If you aren’t personally hearing about it then you aren’t high enough up the ladder to be privy to anything substantial.

I had a legit WFH Drs note for a condition I absolutely do have -- and was laid off in 2023 anyway. Made absolutely no difference whatsoever.

Were there really “talented hires during the pandemic with many in remote locations?”. I personally only saw long term reliable employees stepping up to superhuman hours.
It’s not true and the company should retain the longtime Subject Matter experts who have proven themselves for decades.

CNY is all strategy. They’re going to lose their jobs. In order to avoid a WARN notice they can shift them all WFH and then release in small batches…without drawing attention from the press. I saw the writing on the wall last year and made my exit to a fully remote job with a different company. BNY is headed for disaster. Also one of the worst paying companies as I discovered when I began looking elsewhere.
I wonder if they will tell the head of treasury services the same?
Half the team I work on is home based. Some were hired as recent as a few months ago.

So many people, talented ones, were hired during the pandemic with many in remote locations. If this is true the company will have a huge loss of talent and capability. Also, how can they justify this when they told Oriskany today they can now WFH?
