Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

BNY Mellon leadership does not care about you

You're a dime a dozen for them. As soon as the new need for short-term cost savings appears, you're as good as gone. Keep this in mind 24/7. Keep it in mind when you are expected to work nights, or on weekends, or when you need to pick up somebody else work. Then think again about whether you want to do it or not.

@OP

This the first employee post that I’ve read where the writer understood the difference between “you’re” and “your”. Count me as being impressed.

My first job was at BNYM and my MD chanted EVERYDAY that not one person was not expendable including himself. Never forgot that lesson.

I only do the needful and save an emergency fund. BNY senior management's employee wellness email can't be trust. I take those as Walmart greeting cards= All BS.

Other than your family and significant other, no one cares. That is a lesson you should have learned eons ago. People croak here and the next day it is “presence unknown” and they actively search for a replacement. We hate them and they hate us.
