If I recall correctly, ML may use Director but the rest of BAC doesn’t. Outside of ML I think it goes something like this:

B0 = CEO
B1 = Exec Leadership Team (one-deep to CEO)
B2 = SVP Executive II
B3 = SVP Executive I
B4 = SVP Manager II or VP Manager II
B5 = VP Manager I or AVP Manager I
B6 = AVP Specialist or Exec Asst
B7 = Admin Asst
B8/B9 = hourly entry level

So you can see an SVP can be as high as a B2 or as low as a B4. That’s why band level is more important than title (internally, at least)

They are exactly the same. The Bank side uses SVP; the Merrill side uses Director

yes, both titles comes under Band 4. Director role has more visibility. Just to let you know only Shoeshines are getting SVP/Director roles these days.

Same thing however Director is only utilized by certain areas of the enterprise/affiliates (typically within Wealth Management).

Bank titles mean nothing tothe outside world.

Both are B4 level. SVP reports to Director, but not the other way around.
