Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Buckle up Florida..

Buckle up Florida.. Per usual, the bank and local leaders won’t give you enough notice to get home and secure your home or even evacuate before the highways are impossible to tackle. Unbelievable when they wonder why there’s so many people don’t evacuate and end up needing rescue services in natural disasters.

I got an ENACT alert and it's pretty clear, WFH unless you are in this line of business. For those of us in Jax, the school closures are premature so thank them the closures tomorrow. Lived here 37 years and went through Andrew, by the time this gets here it will be a bad rainstorm. Nothing to see here

Jacksonville and surrounding area's public schools and colleges have already announced closure Tues, Wed, Thurs, but not one single email to Jax campus employees about the storms we'll have starting tomorrow for us from the hurricane coming this way. This company doesn't care about our safety. It's shameful.

Tell me you know nothing about hurricanes and preparedness without telling me. Uh.. you can’t prepare too far out, but now is the time! It wasn’t time last weekend when we were still waiting to see what the storm was going to do! They didn’t declare an emergency for all of Florida either! Us folks in Jax still aren’t included.. yet it’s obviously heading at us now! So sit down and hush because you have no idea what it takes. You can buy all the damn batteries in the world months ahead, but us native Floridians know you stock up way in advance, but you really can’t actually prepare until 2 days out.. not a damn week or month ahead! Ps- schools are closed Tue-Thu, yet the bank still wants to stress us parents out and not notify us on the bank/site decision!

A state of emergency was declared over the weekend. How much of a warning do you really need to prepare for a hurricane in Florida? If you're waiting until hurricane season has already started, well, that is on you.

What does have to do with layoffs?

Yea.. they’re far more concerned with making sure we’re gonna hit that 3 days in office quota. SMH. All the “we’re concerned about your safety” is just them trying to act concerned.. as they do t give folks time to actually get gas, get supplies, get their house prepped, or get out of town.

Yet, don’t forget to stop what you’re doing and respond to all the pointless Enact messages blowing up your phone while you’re busy running around trying to keep your family safe! God bless!
