We tried to actually evaluate employees based on what they ACTUALLY do through the entire 2 years of the pandemic and we learned that most employees slacked and screwed off. Effectively we collectively taught management not to trust us.
No, not all of us slacked off. But so many did that Senior management do not trust us. You remember the folks bragging about watching Netflix all day, working second full time jobs to get over, etc.
The more likely people are to complain about working from work as a commuter, the more likely that they were slacking and effectively stealing from the Bank.
