So there was all of these rumors about four days in the office beginning week after Labor Day, as well as supposed to be layoffs week after Labor Day… Has any of that happened?

All of our business lines are top heavy because our Senior Leaders are gluttonously over compensated.
Chains must all be cut at the top of all businesses. Executive compensation is totally out of control.
No, Not huge by any measurement.
Huge was 2000 to 2008. 10% cut to the workforce every year for 8 straight years. No exceptions.
We haven’t seen any significant layoff since that eight year era.
Yea, OPs certainly know all of the tricks in regard to deflecting work don’t they…
This thread is the mother of all of the overhyped 1% layoffs…
…remember where you heard it first.
I’m prepared to drive to the Based at Home MDs’ homes and bang on their doors for free…. So long as I can bang to wake them up before 6:00 AM.
Just say the word
To state the obvious, your manager is a manager as well and you did what he told. For the University of Phoenix Associate Grads, yes… every manager reports to a manager until the CEO, who reports to the board.
Glad to be of help and good luck with any continued education.
2bjr+1owPptFI - that’s not necessarily true. If it comes down from the top we have to cut heads and we have nobody to give up or spare then they decide without us being able to say anything
Treasury Services confirmed
Which groups?
two groups that I know of, have received emails for everyone to work from home tomorrow.
No changes I am being told. Sr Mgt is very happy with the results
No, as always the rumors were false.
Dude, Wut?
Tues-Thurs. Good luck. To the person who said managers make the recommendations to HR on who gets the axe, that’s not necessarily true in all cases. I was told one without any choice and had a little bit of input on the other. It’s a tough time, and I wish you all well. Remember, it may feel gross for a short while, but the sun will come out tomorrow. Hang in there.
Today or tomorrow?
It has begun, entire chains being wiped off for top heavy businesses.
Both know..hr & your manager. Your manager makes the recommendations on who to layoff to HR.
the list doesn’t get shared and only known if someone on your team is on it
Well there are at least 3 less MD’s among our colleagues. 1 BAH and 2 not working in the location shown on My Source. All part of Ops.
This coming week is gonna be ROUGH. Layoffs galore.
Any managers here? If it’s next week, a week before layoffs who knows who’s on list, HR or your manager or both?
How about the many BAH MDs?
4 days a week are already coming for MDs (rest to follow) and the layoffs are said to be HUGE next week. 😭
