I think about quitting 24/7

I just wish I had the courage to go through with it.

Left a few months ago, more money, less stress, full time wfh, could not be happier now!

I really wanted to take an abscence. My immediate manager approved it, however their manager denied it. I was devastated. Still am. It is not like I am an important person. There are plenty of people that do the work I do. And they preach about mental health awareness and yet deny you the time you need. I do not want to give them the satisfaction of quitting, but I really am on the brink of doing it.

Left for a bigger base salary, bigger bonus, full time wfh, way less stress, no bs politics, could not be happier. But, you have to get out there and go after it, you can't sit back as no job is going to come knocking on your door.

Just gave my 2 week notice last Friday. Place is not worth it. Even my manager and their manager were not surprised. Lol. Underpaid and sh-t show.

Practice the art of not giving a FK. And yes, give your mental health a break, too. No job is worth sacrificing that.

The courage to look is the first step. The courage to apply is the next. The worst that can happen is that you don’t get any offers. The best that can happen is that you do get an offer - you can always turn them down if you don’t like it. But you’ll never know what’s out there (beyond the bank) if you don’t look.

It’s very rare that someone will just hand you a job unless you’re a nepo baby. If you really want to leave you have to get up the courage to be proactive. Otherwise, you’ll continue to vent and be unhappy, and nobody is going to want to listen to you. The ball is in your court! You have the power to make change! I know you can do it! Don’t be scared. I support you! Start looking and start applying! Maybe it will take a year, but something better is in your future. I know it!

Want to get some time off. Sit at you desk, start moaning, put an Alka-seltzer tab in your mouth, take a big swig of water. When it starts to foam up fall to the floor and have a fit. Buddy of mine from college when a party got dull that was his party trick.

I quit without a job. Scariest thing and at times, thought I'd made a huge mistake. But the freedom and lack of a job forced me to think full time about a career. Landed something that is just insanely better. You don't know how bad it is until you get to the other side. If you can go 90-180 days without income, do it and get a better job (and life)

Mental Health break ASAP. If you can't think of a real good reason. Then sit at your desk and start singing real loud. Pick an edgy song. Moon walk a couple of times.

you will be asked to take a break, call EAP and go sit down at home for a month or 2.

That is when you know it is time you need a break. Like the other poster said, take a mental health leave. We have several people out 2 and 3 months. Personally I can not afford unpaid, but if you can, then I say go for it. Kickback and recharge. Good luck!

Update your resume and actively look for new opportunities. Once you are out, you will feel better although it takes a few months to decompress. Good luck to you. There is life outside BofA

Just relax and watch Downton Abbey instead. After watching the pilot episode, you'll feel right as rain.
