Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

They say (lack of) leadership is truly displayed during challenging times

We know of the conflict in Israel. Given that we have colleagues and vendors in the region who are in an existential crisis, there has been no single email directive from the C suite.
We do not expect taking sides kinda email, but atleast a human one to give colleagues the time and space and support they need.
I now know there is rot at the top…
And if their stooges read this and then send the email… it’s empty as an iceberg

If you don't know - it doesn't concern you. Numbers of others who were cut shortly before their 401K vestment do indeed know. I am asking only them.

“401K vestment layoff cut”.

What does this even mean?

Could you tell more about the special matching benefit article from my source? This was regarding the 401K match I presume, which was taken from several people almost vested but cut in recent layoffs.

All information on this 401K vestment layoff cut scheme is requested from anyone affected please.

It’s difficult to understand your point.

Instead of complaining about your coworkers, why not ask them for advice on how they commute safely and protect themselves in the city? It strikes me that your anger is targeted at the wrong people. Your coworkers didn’t attack you.

So… why do you stay there? It’s not like NYC cares a wh-t about the crime that’s been worse each and every year since Giuliani left office. I moved out when the gangbangers were playing the “knockdown game” which basically was cold cocking mostly elderly caucasians. Now they’re timing pushing people off of the platform in front of an oncoming subway car. I choose not to live with animals. Why do you choose to be among them?

Your problem is not your coworkers. Your problem is living in a failed blue city in a failed blue state. I loved NYC but left and never looked back.

"the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues and communities is first and foremost top of mind"

lol no it's not. I was as--ulted on the way to 240 Greenwich 6 months ago and while they got the perp, he was let out on bail. Not a single coworker asked how I was doing.

Haven’t most of the competent comms folks left the building?

We can certainly take the side of not executing people and not attacking civilians.

Hani is not one of the good guys. He just puts on a good show. I see Gru posted something on LinkedIn, too. Three days after the even. Pathetic.

There is a story and special matching program on my source. Words are from Hani, who I truly believe is one of the good ones.
