Thread regarding TransCanada Corp. layoffs

Time to “Do Better”! …

And start holding our flailing leadership accountable for their mess ups and complete disconnect from what is going on ‘in the trenches’ .

These guys feed us the compensation benchmarking stories while other competitors (ENB, PBA etc) pay 25% more, are actively hiring and poaching our talent. We are under constant layoffs and compensation deterioration on all fronts (salary, bonuses, stock plan and performance, benefits)!

I am too old to jump ships, but be wise about it if you can. TC’s mission and business model is great- we need better leaders

The company is selling off many of its key assets, that is not a good spot to be in growth wise for a pipeline company.

This is all incredibly negative.

A lot of people perform well under fear, intimidation and incompetence.

So how do we start holding them accountable? What can we really do?

As a life long TC employee, I unfortunately agree with these comments. The executive teams is destroying this company.

Yes we have good people...but you have to keep them, especially the young generation, they are being the most hurt by this leadership.

What do you expect when an energy company is run by bankers? It has become a training ground for executives with no knowledge of the technical or operational side of the business to bring in expensive management consultants and constant disruption and change. This is their sandbox and you’re just living in it.

Do Better Club - how to join? Tone deaf, no self awareness, p-m p-m pompasity, reek of privilege, and enjoy circular conversations.
Share strange and disjointed childhood memories, and never acknowledge facts.

It seems like folks be begging to be trolled. The cognitive dissonance is astounding, it is unfortunate that there is such fear in this leaderahip team. The arrogance does not hide choosing blindness or avoiding self examination; sometimes it is you.
People would respect this leadership team if there was honesty in acknowledging the low point the company is at, and the tough choices that must be made to survive.

So basically if you want to catch up in inflation, jump ship and go to another company. Everything is about what they are working on and not meaningful change.
