Ops Analysts Team Manager Cuts

It was announced today that, nationwide, all Team Managers for the Operations Analysts have been eliminated and will be moved to Financial Center Managers. What a slap in the face. We were told that as non client-facing associates we are first on the chopping block. It was hinted that more cuts are to come. I’m guessing not enough people quit during this
year-long hiring freeze. Now is a good time to jump off this sinking ship. The way this company goes about cuts and layoffs is not ok! And during the Holiday Season? That’s just cruel!

Are you actually comprehending what you write? That roles was eliminated and the people in it moved to a new role. What cuts and layoffs are you referring to? It's really disgusting how the company ensured that the people in those roles had a job.

Sick time is accrued
So if you are given 80 hours of sick time, exit June 30th you will only be required to pay back what you earned that exceeded 40 hours.

Use every single benefit.
Call teledoc, use your counseling sessions, get your eyes checked, use your volunteer hours allowed per LOB. Use the tuition reimbursement
Literally go all out!
It's part of your comp package and there is no ethical / moral or enforcqblr drawback

@5wxd+1pUQOABZ - California teammate here, Vacation days are "accrued" company wide.

State of California - Dept of Labor Relations: "An employee who is discharged must be paid all of his or her wages, including ACCRUED vacation, immediately at the time of termination. Labor Code Sections 201 and 227.3" [note: caps for emphasis are mine]

Illness: Covered employees include full-time, part-time, temporary or seasonal workers who work in California for 30 or more days in a 12-month period for the same employer.

Covered employees must accrue at least one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked. Alternative accrual methods are acceptable if they comply with the law.

An employer may limit the amount of paid sick leave an employee can use in one year to 40 hours or five days, whichever is more.

Real-life example: My colleague took a long vacation early in the year, then gave her 2-week notice. Her last paycheck was reduced by the vacation days she had not accrued (earned).

The, she received an INVOICE at home from BofA Accounts Receivables to PAY THE BANK for two of the vacation days that her paycheck did not cover! She spoke with a California attorney, who confirmed she needed to pay. (and now had attorney fee, too)

See below from BofA Employee Handbook. Word of the Day = Recovered

"You will be paid for any accrued but unused vacation time and purchased time off in your final pay, according to the applicable policy. Vacation pay will be based on your current rate of base pay. If more vacation hours were used than earned, the pay advance will be reconciled from your final pay or otherwise recovered, to the
extent permitted by law.

Any unused Purchased Time Off that has been paid for will be reimbursed at the rate of pay in effect when you elected to purchase the time off.

Any used Purchased Time Off that has not been paid for will be recovered, to the extent permitted by law. For more information, contact the Personnel Center at 1.800.556.6044 (TTY 1.888.343.0860).

No payment is made for accrued but unused occasional illness days, unless otherwise required by law.

Any occasional illness days you have used but not accrued may be reconciled from your final pay or otherwise recovered from you, to the extent permitted by law."

Actually check the state you work in before you “use every single benefit.” I believe that in some states, like CA, they are required by law to pay out any unused vacation time (but they are not required to pay out sick time) when you leave.

So if you have 15 days of unused vacation in CA and you leave the company, that’s like a 3 week paycheck.

If you don't have another job or plan, just use EVERY SINGLE BENEFIT afforded to you.
Use every single minute of PTO sick time, etc
If you are planning on adopting or have trouble with fertility, get it checked now. If you are planning to have another kid, do it now and take the 4 months.
See the counselors, get the braces do whatever you need to do and remember to do it while working at a MEETS/MEETS level 😏

Why keep asking about LOB? Isn’t OP already very obvious?
The original post says move the duty to Financial Center Manager so this is in Retail Financial Centers nationwide.
Bank closes over two dozen financial centers just these two months in one state!

I haven’t heard this yet but makes sense, I always wondered why they didn’t just report to the OMs
