Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

This needs to stop

We are understaffed. I don't know if this is the case for everybody, but it certainly is for my team and I'm going to assume that this is one of the things most of us have in common. They can't just keep taking away more and more people and expect the rest of us to still get the job done. It's enough.

A friend told me that someone in his department turned their notice in and was talked into staying. This person gets to WFH whenever they want - not HR approved. His department is OVERSTAFFED as they haven't had a whole lot of work for a very long time.

Do the bare minimum work and aim for M/M, spend that extra time with your family, brush up your skills for the right opportunity and show middle finger if they negotiate.

Why does it need to stop? It's working as designed. Low pay, no increases and overwork. Tell me how else do you encourage natural attrition? I'm waiting for you to leave so I won't have to.

staffing levels are not determined by how much you will benefit from them, rather, by how much they detract from multi billion dollar earnings. You must decide what environment you want to work in. Every resignation or early retirement contributes multiple thousands of dollars in savings to the bottom line. if you are not happy, you must update your cv and find another job.

Well you see we only made $7 billion in profit the last quarter so we all have to step up and do more with less.

Take all your vacation and sick time.

OP . Oh but they can and they will. They will dump the work from displaced workers on to the “lucky” remaining workers.

At this point in my job here at this shlithole bank, I stopped giving a damn about my job and responsibilities. I just do enough to get by and if ain't done, it is what it is. They are deliberately understaffing and making it hard on us so we can quit or resign. This is a way for them to not pay unemployment. All you can do is just half azz your job while your looking for another one.

Agree. All this made worse by expecting another dismal year of low increases and bonuses.
