Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

RESEA

Has anyone from the September RIF been selected to participate in the mandatory Pennsylvania RESEA program? If selected, you must participate in order to keep your benefits.

I was selected for this program last year after being laid off from BNYM. It looked like it was going to be a pain in the rear to be part of, but after my initial call with the person assigned to my case, he decided I was not a good fit for the program. He said it was mainly targeted at job seekers with little or no experience, lower paid roles and those that might not have a broad network. I was relieved to be told I was off the hook.

So our wives receive unemployment as well? I love this company!

This seems a little different, but maybe it is just current branding - people who unemployment thinks will have difficulty finding a job within 6 months based on certain criteria are selected for additional monitoring. Criteria are listed as ten items, but I can’t find what they are.

Is this where you need to participate in a class, meet a few times with someone from Unemployment via phone, register on the PA portal? I think everyone in PA the re wives unemployment needs to do that.
