Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

CEO Performance

By the most important metric there is, the stock price, Robin has pretty much failed. Down 10% this year is pretty bad.

Now the whispers are we are cutting 10% of the workforce.

Does Robin’s comp reduce by 10%?

The opposite. Talk about failing uoward.

@2qcc+1piGs0lx - an increase 306.22 due primarily to inflation. Number went up, but the value of the number continues to go down.

@2bfl, if we're going to lock anyone up it should be whoever designed the quote functionality on this site.

The real question is who downvoted @2sqr.
2 3/4 years ago was 2/1/21 and the s&p was 3,811.15.
Friday it closed at 4,117.37 which is an increase of 306.22.
I disagree with Biden more than most people do but facts are facts. We don't need to make up things to criticize him on.

I want to know the one who gave an Up Vote - He/She needs to be committed to a mental institution

@1efp, that's just not true. But our war on energy and free money for doing nothing policies stink.

Not Robins fault. The entire S&P 500 is down for 2 and 3/4 years thanks to our anti-energy, inflationary policies. Vote better.

F** RV. Taking home $14m not giving a single f about his employees , talking about „investing in people“ while at the same time firing 10% next week. Does that sound like a leader to you?

It’s not his fault the stock is doing so poorly but rather the rank and files employees crying about poor pay all day that are sinking this company. If he and all of the chiefs left, we would really be in trouble.

This board always comes up with reasons to justify the CEO being paid quite nicely, regardless of how they fail against the most important goals.

It's an absolute disgrace. Managers forced to satisfy requirements to rank a certain number of staff as not meeting expectations even if they are performing satisfactorily -- just so senior management can cut staff and use that as a supposedly valid reason to let them go. All we see are staff cuts at the worker level while it seems like there is a new "chief" position created monthly. And changes to benefits that do not benefit workers. Very sorry state of affairs.
