It's never over after just one day. I'll be happy if it's done by Wednesday, instead of dragging on the whole week.

At the risk of stating the obvious, it’s only 1% in the States because 98-99% of employees are overwhelmingly in the United States. Why would we cut offshore where our costs are far less when 99% of employees are located in the expensive United States?
I brake for taxes.
At the risk of stating the obvious… it WAS over in one day.
It’s at least a 90% American employee bank. It’s a horrible place to work so there’s really no need to exaggerate and make things worse..
This was the smallest layoff that I’ve ever experienced here. This may bode well for the future or possibly make HR up their game in getting back into the layoff groove. Difficult to tell without knowing why it was so small.
Most bankers vote left for some reason that I’ll never understand. But that’s how we got the Kennedy/Kerry H-1B Visa law. So it’s the law of the land and it’s not about to change until voters do.
But without Brakes in the cities how could we stop?
It should no longer be called B of NY -- I say we demand that.
162,000 Sq ft office space in BRICS country just secured for BNYM.
Sorry but no US business should be allowed to terminate their US employees to hire foreign. This is disgusting and upper mgmt can care less about the quality of work these people put out which we all know is garbage
This dump should lose their tax brakes in the US cities…
Problem is the pathetic media that is the media doesn’t report on any of this. It needs to be known and reported on… All of the job reductions/ re- locations , and reduction in benefits, and how employees feel about this dump hole…..
Dump
Even if it’s just 1% it’s overwhelmingly in the United States. I know of so many impacted yesterday, and sadly it’s not over yet. In reality this is no longer an American bank and now so many American employees directly report to managers in India and Europe, who in turn don’t care so much to layoff U.S. employees.
